History of Fort Morgan Alabama

Fort Morgan is a pentagonal bastion fort at the mouth of Mobile Bay in Alabama. It was built between 1819 and 1834, and named after Daniel Morgan, a hero of the American Revolutionary War. The fort played a significant role in the Battle of Mobile Bay during the American Civil War.
